Hubby and I were searching for a good Black owned sit down restaurant. We were on our way to West Philly because several have left the North side of the city. Hubby remembered that we wanted to try Smalls. We were concerned because the posted hours had us there an hour early but the co-owners welcomed us in. They apologized because their HVAC system had just gone but it wasn’t too hot. Regina, who was our server turned out to be a co-owner with her husband Chef Rasul. My husband and I were so glad that we stopped there! I ordered fried fish, macaroni and cheese and greens. Hubby ordered turkey wings, yams and rice. Everything was cooked PERFECTLY and the portions were so plentiful. We ate well today AND we have tomorrow’s dinner also! The strawberry lemonade was delicious as well! The decor inside is so nice and we loved the playlist! #OldSchoolR&B. Definitely worth it. They also do takeout. We will be back!

I haven’t even gotten my entree and I had to leave a review already!!! Cheesesteak egg rolls and fries are AMAZING. The drinks are great. One strawberry henny and we’re feeling good! The music is also good; great vibes. We came early, 1st customers of the day, and they didn’t miss at all. Will come back here everyone I visit Philly.

I had the pleasure of eating at Small's this evening. They were short staffed due to an event, but Ms. Regina still made a way to accommodate us. The food was absolutely delicious, the portions plenty and the restaurant was clean! I wouldn't change a thing and will be returning. Thank you again for a wonderful experience Ms. Regina, we'll be back to see you and Princess again!

We had our mother’s repass here and the whole vibe as soon as you walk through the door was dope. Let’s talk about the food. It was delicious. My girl Regina and her Husband Rasul did their thing in the kitchen. The menu consisted of macaroni & cheese, chicken , fried fish, fried rice, string beans and more ….My family ordered more food just to take home . One family member even ordered a whole pan of mac & cheese. I can’t wait to go back. Thank you so much. If anyone need an event space to rent …Book Smalls Restaurant and Events.

I went here for events & always had a ball.... very clean, cash bar service was on point, love the art pictures in the ladies room nice size to hold & event with a stage & also have booths for section

My daughter choose to have her 17th birthday dinner here and I am so glad she did it was a beautiful place and the experience was amazing the owners are some of the nicest people I’ve met the the food was delicious and made fresh! The place has so many photo opportunities the decor is nice we will definitely be back glad to have stumbled across Smalls we will definitely be back!

Had a taste for soul food and used my trusty Google to find a spot. This was the first location that popped up and decided to give it a try. I am SO glad that we did! We were pleasantly surprised to see how nice it was inside and decided to eat in. The food is made fresh to order and absolutely delicious! Pictures do not do it justice! I had the turkey wings, mac and cheese, and yams. My daughter had the salmon, mac and cheese, and greens. We also had the homemade lemonade and strawberry lemonade. The service was superb! They were so warm and welcoming and made sure we were good the entire time. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend everyone to check them out.
